CARING FOR THOSE LESS
         FORTUNATE THAN WE ARE

Nomads had a fantastic 2024 raising funds for many less fortunate as our clubs raised an all-time record of R3 million the past year.
Under the Andrew Mentis NPC the collective efforts of Nomads clubs across the country we cashed in on a superb effort of reaching R3
million from donations and fundraising events.
We saw more clubs arranging more events than just the golf days to raise funds. These events included Day at the Races, Donkey Derby,
Gentlemen’s Dinners and many more. This way you included many more members to support one of our main pillars.

We are equally as proud to share that these funds are well planned for projects and tangible goods for selected NPO’s to beneficiaries
selected by the Nomads Vice-Captains in their regions. Our beneficiaries around the country touched almost every sector in the less
      fortunate category and included:

Western Province: Josiah Trust (Community Centre in a very poor area in Cape Town). We are upgrading their ablution facilities,
purchased blankets and food during winter, and purchasing an oven and microwave for the centre.
Boland: Grootbos Foundation (a centre in rural southern most point of Africa where they look after 2000 children in poor communities).
We are paying for moving kitchens where we can cook meals for the children and also pay for repairs on their vehicles transporting
        children to sports events.
Southern Cape: Eljada Care Centre (adults with severe disabilities). We purchased water tanks and upgraded the centre by purchasing
paint and other items to give the centre a new clean look.
Eastern Cape: CHOC (home for children with cancer). We purchased fridges and deep freezes for this home.
Border: Zamani Daycare Centre (care centre in poor rural area looking after up to 5 years old). We are paying for infrastructure - including
        putting fencing around the centre.
Free State: CHOC (home for children with cancer). We upgraded their playground, fixed their roof and purchased new linen.
Southern Natal: Inhlu House (home for abandoned autistic children). We are paying for water tanks and also pay for supplying running
        water to this home.
KZN: Pathways (children stimulation centre for young people with severe disabilities). We are paying towards the building of car ports,
classrooms, awnings and bicycles for the children to use at the centre.
Lowveld: Honorary Rangers (an organization working in Kruger National Park towards saving endangered animals, plants and trees, and
caring for the children of the community working there). We are paying for water supply in the park for these workers and children, toilets
with running water as well as solar power for their shelters and huts.
Gauteng: Door of Hope (caring for abandoned children). We are converting houses for disabled children and purchased items ranging
from equipment, toys to toddler beds.
Easterns: Sibusiso Children Home (home for mentally and physically disabled children). We purchased a 300 liter solar geyser for this
home, built carports, did maintenance on the building and planted artificial grass outside for the children to play on.
Northerns: Bramley Children’s Home (for abused and abandoned children): Purchased tumble dryers, washing machines and microwave
        ovens.
